Cleaning Up

In honor of Earth Day, Headwaters Trails will be doing a cleanup of thetrail on Sunday April 21st that goes from the Holly Academy north to the Pulte Subdivision.  We will be cutting invasives and burning those branches.  We will meet and park at the site (see the map link)  The cleanup will be from there along the trail toward the Holly Academy.

If you have them, please bring clippers to cut the invasive species.  Autumn olive has long thorns, so leather gloves are advised.  An advance group meet at 10 am to start prep work.  Others should arrive at noon to cut and drag branches to the fire.  Chuck and Sue are bringing a water pump and hose to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.  They will also bring a rake, chainsaw, extra clippers and herbicide to dab on the cut invasive plants to keep them from growing back.
